The first Erasmus Student Network National Assembly in Iceland (ESN-Iceland) began with an open event on October 31 in Edda at the University of Iceland in collaboration with the Erasmus+ National Agency. The event was successful and characterized by open and live discussions on the role of the association and ideas on how they can strengthen the international community of university students in Iceland.

Steve Anaya, former ESN-Iceland president, launched the event with the promotion of that road trip which the organization has been in last years and led to them being formally approved as a full member Erasmus Student Network (ESN) earlier this year. Steve told the goals of the movement who is representing international except and creating opportunities for individuals to develop their cultural understanding and skills through diverse events and projects. The key value of the association is „students to help students“ (e. students healing students). ESN-Iceland's goal for next year is to fix the organization in session so that it is possible to strengthen and expand the partnership years to come.
