==English version==

Are you interested in working with and for people from all over the world? Travelling? Being part of something bigger? Want to improve your language skills and gain international experience? Have fun doing all this? Then ESN might be something for you!

What we are
ESN Iceland is a student organisation for exchange and international students, with over 500 members annually. We are part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), an interdisciplinary European student organization present in 36 countries and over 500 Higher Education Institutions. Being part of the ESN, our board members enjoy a wealth of opportunities to attend meetings abroad and exchange knowledge with our colleagues from different countries.

ESN is present in more than 490 Higher Education Institutions. The network is constantly developing and expanding. We have around 14.500 active members that are in many sections supported by so called buddies mainly taking care of international students. Thus, ESN involves around 29.000 young people offering its services to around 190.000 international students every year

What we do
Our motto is “Students helping students” and our mission is to improve the social inclusion of international students by planning (and going on!) trips and events all around Iceland, offering various clubs to attend, helping the students meet locals via our “Buddy system” (and the occasional party doesn’t hurt!). Above all: We work in the interest of international students

Benefits
By becoming an ESNer you will have a chance to experience an international atmosphere and meet, help and guide exchange students in Iceland. You will gain practical leadership experience and work with an international team to plan trips and events around this amazing country. Get sent abroad to attend seminars and meetings on behalf of ESN Iceland.
